Be Your Own Best Friend

Hey Dolls, I know im late but I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Ive also been gone out of town in the middle of nowhere, so no internet :( Well anyways todays post was inspired by a video I saw on youtube by a girl named Jarmaine. Even though I do have a few really good close friends, I feel like you cant ever really trust anyone. Ive had my share of crappy friends and thats why I dont have aquaintances, I just have really good friends. So if you havent noticed this is kinda an advice post.

I think a good way to tell if you have a crappy friend is when you are always fighting about dumb stuff, or if they are always flaking on you to hangout with others or even worse their boyfriend, especially when you are in need of girl time.

Now-a-days sometimes the only people I can count on to be in my corner are my family. At the end of the day nothing else matters because they will always have your back, whether your choices are right or wrong. But if they are wrong you know you will always have that one person to give you their opinion and try to talk you out of it, but only because they love you and are looking out for you best interest.

It does get lonely sometimes when I think about all the friends I had but then I stop and say id rather be alone than in bad company...right? Well anyways if any of you have ever been a victim of having a bad friend dont worry there are other people out there waiting to meet you and make great memories. You Got Caught!!!

Ok Ladies, Have you been cheated on or think you're being cheated on? Let me tell you what, if there was a show of hands, both of mine would be up. lol. The reason why im posting about this is because ive recently heard Tony Parker cheated on Eva Longoria, and all I have to say is What a dumb butt!! So, hearing about this made me think of back in the day when I was dating little boys, and how I was blinded by the "Love Blindfold". And as I started thinking about it, I started putting the pieces together and thinking how dumb was I? I thought only little boys played games but I guess not. So, here im going to share my top 5 signs of a cheating "boy". Just because im only mentioning 5, doesnt mean there arnt more. There are alot more signs so do you're research ladies!!

My number One sign of a cheater is the all too famous "Im busy" remark. If your man starts saying he has to work late, or has a meeting, or has to go to a dinner with co-workers and he works at burger king, Girl you need to be slapped if you believe him. Unfaithful guys need time to spend with the other woman, so thats when the lies start rolling in.

Okay, number two. Look for changes when it comes to his phone. If your man in tripping over his own flippin feet, and willing to eat dirt in order to get to his phone before you, when you are reaching for it... ummm yeah that screams CHEATER!! Someone who has something to hide will go to any lengths to make it happen. But men being the idiots that they are, arnt so good at it. Another phone sign is when you check his messages and calls and there just happens to be none. Deleting dity texts or unfamiliar numbers is always a sign.

Sign number three is when there are clouds of dust behind them on the way to the shower. A cheater cant get to shower to wash away the evidence, fast enough. Usually when a cheater comes back from a "meeting" and hops into the shower without even saying hi or giving any type of body contact, that means he is trying to wash away the scent of the other woman. So ladies stand by the front door or the restroom door when he comes home so it's inevitable to not come around you, and take a Big-O wiff of that puppy. lol.

The fourth sign would have to be that he isnt as affectionate as he used to be. If your sex life has dropped like a newborn giraffe, im sorry sista but he's getting it somewhere else. When he doesnt want to hold hands, cuddle, kiss or even hug thats pretty much your que to ask "Who's the other B****?"

The final sign for this list I would say is when he becomes defensive when you ask where he's been or any other questions making you suspect somethings going on. Usually what comes along with this defensiveness is him accusing you of being unfaithful because you are insecure about yourself or feel since you're cheating, so is he. He will try to use reverse phycology on you.

So there you have dolls, my top 5 signs of an unfaithful man. And like I said before these are not the only signs, there are alot more, so if you feel this list isnt sufficient enough to say he's cheating, look up other websites and do your research. If you find out he is cheating, yes its going to hurt but like all wounds it will heal. God didnt make only one species of animal, and all the clouds in the sky are not the same. Hey dolls!! So ive been back for from visiting my family for a while and ive had writers block like CRAZY!! I swear I have been getting so frustrated lately because I know I have a couple of followers and you are expecting to read some updates. So here I am!! This post will be inspired by Thanksgiving. I would love to read what you all are thankful for, so I will share my blessings.

In no particular order I will start by saying the most obvious blessing im thankful for, and that is my family. I believe family is the best thing to have in your life. Family doesnt have to be blood, it can be your significant others family, or even just your friends. If you have a special tie to someone, that is family. A long time ago I read a quote and I dont know who wrote it or when but when ever I think of it, it makes me think of my family. And it goes something like this, " Dont make someone your everything, because when they're gone, you'll have no one."

Another thing im thankful for is my health and basically that im still alive I guess. Im not going to say im as healthy as a horse, but I will say I thank god I have not gotten seriously ill or have had a life threatening illness yet. And for those of you who are reading this and do have an illness or even just something small like a cold, god is great and there is always something brighter coming to put a smile on your face.

Iam also thankful for not having to go without. I have never not been able to put food in my family's belly or go without wearing a shirt on my back and shoes on my feet. God has blessed my family to where they have helped me not go through that. But what I want you all to know is that im not saying im better than those who have had struggles and have been through the situations I just mentioned. I see homeless people everyday living in the city and what I think when I see them is, maybe its god in disguise testing me. So when they ask for money I give what I can even if its a dollar. I understand that some of you may think im helping feed a drug user or alcoholic but I feel better about myself when I help out someone else so I try not to think about those things.

Iam thankful for soo much more but if I were to write out everything the list would be never ending. so im just going to end here and tell you all, if you all have things you are thankful for, enbrace them because sometimes those are the things that can get you through a hard time. Im in no way trying to say iam this church going, God is my savior kinda person because im not, but I will say I have my own way of being religious and so far it has given me a good life.

Hey friends, how are you all doing tonight? So if you didnt know, today is Mia's 3rd birthday!! My baby is growing sooo fast. Since my family lives out in the country and I live in the city, we spent the day with adam's family. Today was a nice, quiet, family kinda day. With this new time going on, I felt like I could take advantage of it and sleep in an extra hour. In Need Of Help!!

Hello Friends. Tonights post will be a bit different from the usual fashion, a glimpse into my life kinda post. Iam thanking god I became a youtuber right about now. I just finished watching a video posted by kandee johnson, one of youtube's makeup gurus. She has one of the biggest hearts I have ever had a chance to see. The video she posted was about a girl named Kristie Tunick, who has a life taking illness called Still Person Syndrome (SPS). This illness causes her muscles to lock and makes it not only impossible to move, but is also very painfull. I believe the pain causes her to blackout and sometimes makes her stop breathing. In the middle of this horrible situatuion is a loving man. Kristie's fiance Brian Mendenhall, has been taking care of her, and dropping out of school to get a full time job as a waiter is what has been getting them threw this whole thing, which is not much. That is why im here to ask for help, in order to keep Kristie stay alive. The doctors have said she only has three weeks to live. By reading this you have done a good thing but to make a great thing im asking you to repost this video or post this blog post in your blog, facebook, myspace, twitter, whatever you may have. What we are trying to do is, by some miracle have somebody who can help her see this story and save her life. Mia's Early B-day Present!!!

Hey Dolls!! So as you all know, I went to visit my family back in my hometown this past week, and since you have to drive an hour in any direction to get to civilization we decided we would go to a flea market to spend some time together. I love flea markets, antique stores and dollar stores. lol. I feel if I get a deal on something cute or nice, I have accomplished something. lol. Well anyways as we were leaving the flea market, we saw a man selling chihuahua puppies!! And since Mias birthday is coming up on the 7th, and my neice's birthday is the 8th of december, my mother thought "why not?" So Here we are with 2 new puppies that are basically like newborns because they always want to be held and entertained and sleep all day and stay up all night. Well atleast I know im not ready for another baby. lol. On the down side since I live with adam and his parentals at the moment we cant bring the Gabby ( Mias puppy) with us. Oh How I Missed You!

Hey Dolls, Yes I know, I know I havent posted in a while. I just got back to civilization earlier today. I went to visit my family in my good ole hometown, and was there for a week. Let me tell you, not having internet was driving me crazy but spending time with my fam was much better. Since my hubby had to work on Halloween :[ I decided to just stay out there, and take Mia trick or treating in my old neighborhood. It was alot of fun and I got my workout of the year lol. So just wanted to show you all what Mia ended up being.



Yup she ended up being a cute little witch. She got sooo many compliments she didnt even know what to do with herself. I loved watching her face as she saw all the other little ones running around in their costumes. She's so funny, when we would walk up to a person to get her candies she would look in the bowl and take what she wanted instead of just letting them put the candy in her bag. lol. Hey dolls!!! So i havent posted anything in a couple days, and im not doing anything at the moment so i thought "what the heck?" So i got awesome news......Florida ended the ban on gay and lesbian adoptions!!! Yay!! So like i said in my previous posts, im not gay but i LOVE all my gay friends! And the best part of this post IS....I MADE MY FIRST YOUTUBE VIDEO!! This is the first of many to come, so stay tuned for the next one.

Are You A Teen Mom?

Hello my lovelys!! Tonights post will be about teen pregnancy and the struggles that come along with it. The reason why im posting about this subject is because im watching the Teen Mom Finale special as im typing. I love this show. Ive been watching these girls since they were on the show 16 and pregnant. Each of these girls have had it rough, and I admire how they have been able to get through the hard times and still be good mothers. (well some of them)
                                                      
Even though im not a teen anymore, I can relate because I did have my daughter when I was a teen. I may not have been 16 but having her at the age of 18 was just as hard. My life took a major turn at the age of 17. Some things happened and I ended up moving to the city with my best friend and her boyfriend at the time. I was having a good time living without the supervision of my parents, but let me tell you, I paid the ultimate price for that "good time". While living with my friend, she and her ex-boyfriend introduced me to his cousin. And I really dont want to go into details about the day I met him because it would never end. But, what I can tell you is that I disliked him at the very beginning. He was so cocky and ssooooo not my type. I was very petite... at the time.lol. And here comes this 6ft 8, jock and all I could think was, what were they thinking setting me up with this giant? lol. but as the night went on something came over us and next thing you know the words I love you are coming out of his mouth around 4 something in the morning.(we stayed up literally all night talking and getting to know each other) It was soo funny because they kinda slipped out, so as soon as he realized what just happened he said "im sorry I just tell everybody I love them." And from that night on we were literally inseparable, I dont even know how many "sneeking out" nights we spent together. But like every other love story, there were some speed bumps, but they didnt stop me from transferring to a new school in the city. Little did I know that would bring more problems. Even through the problems were there we still couldnt stay away from each other. So during one of our problems when we werent together, I found out I was pregnant.

1 month into being 18 I find out. Oh man, 18 is supposed to be the best year ever... right? Well I spent mine being pregnant in high school, throwing up on my way to the bus stop and during classes, also just not being able to do what every other 18 year old does. Even though I got pregnant while trying to live my independent life, it never stopped me from graduating high school. I graduated being valedictorian, homecoming queen and prom queen. High school was the best even being pregnant. Now there may be more the story but when I hear some girls say they didnt graduate because they got pregnant, I dont think thats a good enough reason. Ive seen alot of girls pregnant in school and they've graduated. But like I said there may be more to the story. So if I offend those of you who were pregnant and in that situation to where there was more to the reason why you didnt graduate, I apoligize.

Now 4 years later from the day we met, we are married and our daughter will be turning 3 in less than a month. We still have speed bumps but no relationship is perfect. By sharing my story, in no way am I saying another relationship is going to turn out the exact way, but I will say once you find out you are pregnant whether you're ready or not just think about the situations you put your child in because it's not all about you anymore. And please, please, please when you have a child dont think that just because someone else loves your child means you dont have to watch or take care of them. Yea it's nice to get help when you need it but come on you need to ask yourself "who had sex and the child in the first place?" Im nowhere near being a perfect mom, but when YOUR child is calling granny "mom" there's a problem. And once again I may be pushing some peoples buttons with these comments, but hey im intitled to my opinion, thats why this is my blog, but so are you and if you feel im being rude or getting out of line im sorry. So ending my post for tonight, ill say think about what you're doing when you find yourself in a bed thinking you're grown when you're really not. Love yall and thanks for reading. Hope you enjoyed.

What's Your Towns Ghost Story?

Hey guys!! How were yalls weekends? After spending the weekend with my family, I figured I would start the new week off with a new post. So, returning to the Halloween inspiried posts, i wanted this one to be about ghost stories. We all know every town and city has their own hauntings. Ill be telling the story of my original roots. Being from the small town named Blanco, in Texas, ive only heard of 1 real ghost story. I got this article from So, Here it goes.

"The Lackey Tragedy in Blanco County"

August 24, 1885, witness the most dire tragedy of the history of Blanco county, when on the morning of that day Al Lackey maddened or demented slew six of his immediate family or relatives on the Perdenales River and Hickory Creek, in the north end of the county. Saddling his horse and taking his Winchester rifle he started out to exterminate, seemingly, the entire Lackey connection. Going up the valley, he shot his niece who was sitting near the front door of her little home, rocking and singing to her little baby. And when the body was found lying on the floor the baby was asleep against the body covered with its mother's blood. His brother ran in endeavoring to escape but tripped and fell, and as he begged for his life Lackey stuck the gun behind his ear and pulled the trigger. Mr. and Mrs. Stokes, an aged couple fell before the fire of his rifle, and then his own daughter and another relative were slain, and then to Lackey's chagrin he found he had no cartridges. He rode back to his own home where he tried to kill his wife and small baby with a knife, but she managed to escape from the house and ran to a nearby thicket where he chased her for some time, fianlly giving up the chase and she saw him slash his own throat. he seemed to back out after one deep gash had been cut; went to his horse and getting into the saddle headed in the direction of Johnson City. On the road he met a neighbor, Al Bundick, and asked him to ride to a spring with him. Bundick noticed that Lackey had a handkerchief to his throat but took it to be a red bandana. Lackey rode behind Bundick and shortly attacked him with his knife, and having the faster horse of the two he was able to cut his victim until he fell from his horse, and then lackey again rode toward Johnson City. Upon reaching town he told that Bundick had killed some of his family and had attacked him, but he had escaped after his throat had been cut by Bundick. A posse was formed, but before it left town a son of Lackey came in and told officers his father had committed the crimes and that he did not know how many were killed. Bundick was found and taken home where physicians attended him; he was badly cut but recovered after some weeks. Mrs. Lackey told officers of her escape and seeing her husband cut his own throat. Six were dead and on August 25 the bodies were laid to rest in a little cemetery on Hickory Creek, some two miles below the Sandy post office. Blanco was then the county seat and Lackey was brought to jail here after physicians had sewed the deep cut in his throat. On the afternoon of August 26, Charlie Cabaniss was coming in from the ranch on Miller Creek when just behond Brushy Top he was overtaken by a large party of men who told him he could wait with them, have an early supper and come on to town with them. They ate supper at a spring some few hundred yards below the present crossing of highway 66. Some time after dark they rode quietly into town, captured the officers before any demonstration was made, then silently and in order rode to the jail. A few citizens discovered something was wrong and found the mob at the jail. Phil P. Cage, knowing several of the leaders, advised them that a very sick woman was in a home near the jail and asked that no commotion be made; some of the party thought he was trying to stop the lynching party, but the leader knew Mr. Cage well and told his followers to keep quiet. he then led the way to the cell in which Lackey was confined, told him that they had come for him to pay the price for his crimes and opened the door to his cell. Lackey grabbed a large iron bucket which was in the cell and would have brained the leader had the bucket not hit the top of the cell; he was overpowered and taken from the jail yard. It had been the intention of the party to get to Blanco in the afternoon and make a public hanging on the square, to a live oak tree which still stands at the southwest corner of the old courthouse building, but now they granted Mr. Cage's request and the mob, supplemented by quite a number from this section, rode north out of town and so quiety that very few knew that a new crime was about to be perpetuated in their midst; the only kind of its nature to darken the history of Blanco county, A mile north of town they stopped. At the side of the road stood two large live oak trees. SOmeone suggest a limb on the nearest tree but Lackey who held to stoic silence looked up and said, "That limb is too low and almost over the road". Another tree just a few feet away was selelcted; the wagon in which Lackey was seated drove under the limb and the noose, which had been tied in the real hangman's knot, was placed about is neck: someone had suggested shooting on account of the deep cut in Lackey's throat; however the rope was thrown over the limb and as the wagon was started up he was told to jump from the chair in which he had been placed in standing position; he failed to jump and was dragged from the wagon by the rope on the limb. His neck was not broken and strangulation ended the life of one whose only request was to be permitted to return to the scene of the crime to finish his intended work of killed seven others. As the body swung and turned in the night breeze the rope untwisted and stretched until the feet almost touched the ground; another rope was tied in the noose and the body raised quite a distance higher, after which the main body dispersed north, going back to their homes in and about the scene of the tragedy. Next morning, August 27, Esquire Lewellyn Robinson held an inquest at the place of the hanging. Prof. W. H. Bruce made a pen sketch of the scene. Lackey was a large man with iron gray hair and mustache, and looked a terrible and gruesome giant as he swung in the air, the rope having buried itself in the cut he had inflicted in his throat. The body was brought to town and contract made with John R. Robinson for the interment of the body which was buried in the southeast corner of the Robison (now Alvin Wegner) field, one halfmile northwest of town. The "Lackey tree" stands just north of Paradise Hollow, one mile north of Blanco, on highway 66, just west of a topped tree near the highway, the second fork of the oak pointing toward the road is where the rope ended the career of Al Lackey, in a lynching party, for the murder of six of his own family connection; at that time the road the was just west of the trees, between them and the old rock fence.

What Should Mia Be?

So since Halloween is just around the corner, I really need to get on the ball on choosing a costume for my babygirl. I was looking at the party city website and I fell for five costumes.It was so hard finding a costume in her size, with her daddy being 6'8", you could only imagine. Mia will be turning 3 in november and she looks like she's 5 or so. And because she no longer can fit into the toddler costumes we had to look in the "big" girl section. Let's Stop Gay Teen Suicide.

Hello friends. While this post may stir up some problems, I dont care. This post will be deticated to all the gay, bi, lesbian teens and adults who have commited suicide because of bullying. It doesnt matter the age, race, or religion you are, every human being deserves to be treated with respect. Even though some of you who read this are opposed of gays, you need to realize that love has no boundries. You can post the meanest comments on this post, you can even decide to never visit this blog ever again, but im going to stand up for what I believe and feel. Being married to MY most amazing husband ever and having MY most beautiful daughter in the world has been the best feeling. The love I have for my family is the best sense of emotion I would never give up. Everyone in this world has that special feeling for another. We all love the same, we all hurt the same. So what gives bullies the right to tell a gay they cant love? I personally have gay friends, and let me tell you something. I LOVE my gay friends, they know how to bring a room to life just by walking in. They have the biggest personalities I wish I could posses. They can make you laugh so hard, and they could be the best listening ear you'll ever need.

Coming from a small town in texas, I didnt know much of the gay life. It was never really talked about, i guess because living in a small town makes it harder to come out and say it without being judged like crazy. Moving to the city really opened my eyes. It wasnt untill one of my best friends invited me to tag along with her and the most amazing gay couple ever, to a gay club, that it really hit me. Gays are exactly like everyone one of us. They showed the most affection towards each other than I have ever seen. Its just a shame that some gays feel they have to go to a gay environment to feel welcomed. Im glad I moved to the city, it made me learn more about the world around me. It also showed me making friends of all walks of life makes you feel better about yourself. And while people may judge, just think "who cares?" If you love yourself for who you are someone else will too. Lets stand up to gay bullying by wearing a purple shirt on Oct. 20th to remember all the lives we've lost to gay suicide. Accept yourself and accept others. So ending my thoughts on the matter I say TO HELL WITH THE JUDGERS, LIVE YOUR LIFE!!

My Favorite Agaci Tops Of The Season.

Hey Dolls!! I was thinking of taking a rest from the spooky Halloween posts for a bit, but dont worry I have more to come. So since the weather has been getting a little cooler, I figured id show you some tops that will keep you stylish and warm while on a budget. All the tops I will be showing are from Agaci.

I love this Ruffled Front Twill Vest. Wearing this can give even the simplest short sleeve a more dressy style.
